Okami is one of those games that has a lot of fans but no sequel yet. If you’re a fan you’re in luck because today Ikumi Nakamura and Hideki Kamiya have confirmed Okami will be back.

I want to see simply great games and games that gamers want to play be developed. I don’t understand budgets and politics. I just want to continue to be a creator that can say that great things are great. Okami is one of those that have the power to overcome all of that.
Good answer. I also want to see developers make games because they like games. No politics or greed getting in the way.
Ikumi Nakamura is an artist who started working for Capcom, on Okami backgrounds. Later joined Platinum Games to work on Bayonetta concept art and moved to Tango Gameworks to be Shinki Mikami (the director of Resident Evil) apprentice and lead concept artist for The Evil Within. However she recently best known to be the waifu who introduced GhostWire: Tokyo at E3:
She has left Tango Gameworks so it’s perfectly possible for her to join Platinum Games to start development with Hideki Kamiya.
Hideki Kamiya is the founder of Platinum Games with colleagues from the now dissolved Clover Studio, founded by Capcom. He is a video game designed and director who worked on games like Resident Evil, Devil May Cry, Viewtiful Joe, Bayonetta and Okami. He’s a nice guy who makes videos like this:
